Our new EP, Permanent Relapse, is out now!

That’s right. Our newest batch of songs is out RIGHT NOW. It’s a 3-song EP called Permanent Relapse, and this time, IT’S ON US.

As a thank you to all of our fans for their support (and patience!), we’re giving away digital copies in exchange for a “Like.” To get it, head over to our FaceBook page: https://www.facebook.com/LoversLiars?sk=app_108468622525037

Who’d have thought linking up with a major label last year would contractually prevent me from sharing all the new songs I’ve written for so long while they tried to figure out exactly what to do with us? The games (and the wait) are over!

The days of sharing are back… and I honestly can’t wait for you to hear it.

Your support through this rollercoaster has meant the world. Your comments and connections are the reason I share these experiences through music. (Well, that and Adam telling me over and over I should really let someone hear these songs…)

A couple of tunes have been leaked on the net for a while, but they’ve all been remixed, and most of them will be brand spankin’ new to even the most avid bootlegger.

There are many more tunes that we’ve already finished, and they’ll be here before you know it…

With love,

Stacy & Lovers + Liars

This Pain Will Pass and “Anthem for the Lonely”

Every week on the news there seems to be another death or suicide as a result of a child or teen being bullied.

When the death of yet another bullied teenager popped up as a headline on my news app, a song I had been working on suddenly took a different direction. Once finished, it dealt with the idea that we all get lonely. We all go through pain, loss, ridicule, and heartache, but one day you’ll feel so different that it’ll be hard to remember ever feeling so bad. The song is called Anthem for the Lonely.”

Learning the term “bullycide” led to the creation of a simple web video for the song. As I was doing research for it, I was amazed at how many sites were trying to sell you book after book, rather than offering easy-to-access information for teachers, parents, and most importantly: kids. The most useful information seemed to be the hardest to find.

So I built a new website, ThisPainWillPass.com, to be the kind of resource that I couldn’t find in my research. It provides simple tips for kids, parents, and teachers, and links to many organizations that are here to help, but may be hard to discover.

The song “Anthem for the Lonely” isn’t available anywhere - or even for sale. It can be seen at ThisPainWillPass.com and around the web as a way to raise awareness of the seriousness of the problem and the many ways to help.

Help us spread the message by sharing this with your friends and family. Forward it to someone who needs to know that they’re not alone, and that This Pain Will Pass.

Saw this picture on a charity billboard outside the Pour House in Charleston, SC. Do you guys have a child zombie problem down there?

If you get it on Craigslist, make sure there’s no dead bodies in it.

Had a great interview with Kyhil (in orange) today for Not Just Country TV. This spring they taped a live performance we did at the Hard Rock, and the whole package (as in, our whole packages) will air as part of their fall season. Stephen was off getting his head re-shaved for the third time this week. He is just a “hair” away from an intervention…

Anonymous asked
how do u guys get rid of the nerves before the show?

Jason’s Answer: I just remember that confidence goes a long way, and that I’m much more nitpicky about my performance than the audience.

But on Tuesdays, the label guys are out, so I have to resort to drugs. Nothing gets the shakes out like Grandma’s prescription pain-killers.

But on Tuesdays, I don’t get nerves. Nerves get me.

But on Tuesdays, I play three-octave scales as fast as I can, and drink lots of caffeine.

But on Tuesdays, I cuddle with my Pee-Wee Herman doll. He almost always makes me feel better.

But on Tuesdays, I shave my entire body. Once I start sweating, there’s no friction at all, and I can really groove on stage.

But on Tuesdays, I have to wear my SpongeBob underwear. It comforts me when nothing else will.

But on Tuesdays, I have a moment of silence before we go on, for my late uncle Tue.
